Human Stem Cell miScript miRNAs PCR Array: MIHS-122Z
The Human Stem Cell miScript miRNA PCR Array profiles the expression of 84 miRNAs relevant to the induction, maintenance, differentiation, and identification of stem cells. All stem cells are capable of both self-renewal and differentiation into multiple cell types. Pluripotent stem cells that are capable of differentiating into any of the cell types from any of the 3 germ layers express a common set of miRNAs that are critical to pluripotency, including some that can enhance the reprogramming of differentiated cells back to a stem cell state. However, recent research suggests that both induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) and primed (or epiblast) stem cells (epiSC) have different miRNA expression profiles than embryonic stem cells (ESC). During differentiation, the expression levels of pluripotency markers decline while other miRNAs critical for differentiation increase in expression. Additional miRNA become more prevalent at specific stages or in specific lineages, resulting in unique patterns of miRNA expression for progenitor cells from the 3 different germ layers. This array determines the relative expression of miRNA important for the pluripotency and differentiation of stem cells. Additional markers indicative of embryonic stem cells (ESC), induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC), epiblast stem cells (epiSC), embryoid body cells, and germ layer progenitor cells are also represented. A set of controls present on each array enables data analysis using the ΔΔCT method of relative quantification, assessment of reverse transcription performance, and assessment of PCR performance. Using SYBR Green real-time PCR, the expression of a focused panel of miRNAs related to stem cells can be easily and reliably analyzed with this miScript miRNA PCR Array.
